     I want to say a very few things about our First Lady.   Mrs. Michele Obama is a great lady.  She takes on the issue of child obesity in a Way that lets our Black community know She really cares about us as a group of Black People.

     Looking at the kind of things our children eat in the inner city, it is no wonder that they have trouble concentrating and learning in school.

     I think this is one of the reasons Mrs. Obama – a beautiful Black woman -- was so concerned about good diet, good nutrition, healthy eating, getting exercise, starting community gardens, and eating plenty of fresh organic fruits and organic vegetables.

     I thank Our First Lady for Her valent efforts and good works.

     The only problem I have with the First Lady is Her not taking a more public stand against the proposed bombing of Africa by the Washington Administration presently in office.

Could this be a ``knowledge is Power'' rally with an almost teen Queen Latifah doing Her consciousness-raising rap in the middle of a mindless silly ``House Party 2''?


Women are mostly window dressing, young men are all just ``chasin booty,'' stolen scholarship $ is at the center of the story line.


I found myself waiting for the party that never arrived.


Other positive highlights included, a poster of Malcolm X, & several very handsome Black athletic young men; & a Black teacher for African American Studies who really wants His students to do well.

Bent, Brown Eyes. A movie review of American Ganster

Thespian Denzel Washington is an ``American Gangster,'' who, in the opening scene sees his friend Clarence Williams III decry the corrupt state of North American business as lacking ``pride of ownership'' for business owners as places like McDonald's take profits, but care little for decent wages for Black workers, and establishing decent work ethics and selling foods that retain good standards for nutritional value.

To be honest, The character did't say that exactly, but if the movie was updated, he might well have said that.

Washington plays a character who provides a higher grade of co-cane at a cheaper rate and makes millions.  His character is seen shooting another brother right in the head in broad daylight.  While Denzel got good recognition for his role, it is my opinion that he wasn't just taking a role that was very negative to get the opportunity to play ``more important roles.''

It is vastly important that young Black men who are thinking about selling illegal drugs  [ in the face of inner-city hopelessness ] or who are actually part of the pipeline, it is phonemically important that these young brothers check out this movie because they need to know what type of an animal illegal drug dealers of any race or creed, become at any level.

When the main character turns state's evidence to unleash the city's prosecutor on ``dirty cops'' the whole movie takes a different course.

It happened a year ago last summer -- exactly at Broad & Cecil B. Moore Avenue -- [ during the summer of 2016 ].  It was a brief moment in time and the only reality I ever saw in my entire life [ 59 years at the time ] .  A nude Black man, looking a bit like a MOVE member , literally fell from the sky and was immediately arrested by the Philadelphia police. This was a reality, but I can no more prove it than I can prove I Am GOD.

Letter to Father Steve Wetzel of Lodge [ 5 ] Fund requests.

Dear Father Steve Wetzel of Lodge Five [ 5] ,

Frankly I think the police officers of Philadelphia should have another Union choice if they find the Lodge Five [ 5 ] of the Fraternal Order of Police to be a bit too conservative and, frankly, too racist. But I have a confession to make. I have asked my so-called Black radical, Black liberal and Black progressive friends, my Black celebrities, and my Black wealthy business people and Black top executives for money to run my small corporate structure, to no avail. They all talk a good game, but when it comes to needing money for vital programs and important work, they turn the other way. I am frustrated and angry about it because I've worked my butt off for three decades and still don't have the money to get done what I need to get done [ please see document below when you have time to read it. It is important work and I am a very responsible, caring, loving, and generous person... ] I also asked that screaming liberal District Attorney for a job, but he didn't even have the decency to respond to me.  I don't hear much from WURD 900 Black Talk Radio either.  I didn't have the nerve to ask the men of Lodge 5 for money. It is not because I hate policemen. I think most of them do a great job, but I know some bad apples are protected.  Maybe you guys could pass the hat and see what you can do. I guarantee there will be no favoritism towards police for whatever contributions you give, and I guarantee you will not have strings attached to the money where I'm asking for more all the time or  asking specifically what you would like to have me do. I have my own agenda and it is modified, but it stays pretty basic, as you can tell from this statement attached. I am a strong believer in GOD and a man of GOD. This is why I am writing you to speak for the fellas for me.

To save you from reading the 8-paged document, basically I do social justice work, education, self-esteem building and self-help work especially for Black youth, but for the Black community as well. It, my work, gives me a wealth of good feelings, but not much money to continue the work itself. I am no phony. I don't have a million dollars stashed away somewhere.  [ I do own about $600.00 in stock, but I lost $89.00 last year [ 2017] on my stock market purchases.  I am sending a copy of this to the Guardian Civic League because they don't get off the hook either. I am also sending an e-mail to Mayor Kenney and the Fire Department because there was a little fire underneath where I live the other day and the Fire Department was there before I had a chance to even put the phone down.  I am grateful and deeply impressed. If you would like to see my tax returns for the last four years, that can be arranged. I make under $17,000.00 a year and am on disability for depression [ I have not been hospitalized for that since 1999..when I had to stay in Hahnemann Hospital for a month due to my internalized anger problems. I have largely overcome this problem with therapy and medicine, which I take religiously. I have never hurt myself or anyone else physically. ]  I work part time for the Mayor's Commission on Aging. What Are We About?  // What do we do?

     My business (An ``S’’ Corporation incorporated on December 18th, of 2006 in Philadelphia) is dedicated to the future development of Black youth and Black young men.  We also help and work towards the betterment of the entire Black community, especially locally, in Philadelphia. We utilize such services as education, public relations, advertising, Black community development, Black business support and development and Black community advocacy to promote the solutions we feel will bring us full circle and promote our positive development and our good will.  We thank our supporters for the Spiritual, financial and social support they have offered us.

     We write hundreds of letters a year to ask institutions, governments, corporations, embassies, and prominent or not-so-prominent mostly Black individuals to change policy or change course and do something more positive like; stop selling cigarettes (CVS); stop polluting (a future letter to British Petroleum and Exxon) ; allow more access for people of color to jobs, wealth, Real Estate, and significant  capital to create wealth;  help mostly Black people lose weight and take steps to work their Way lose from poverty; and  take a positive stand on certain issues like child care, abortion rights, other rights for Black women, and rights for Black gay and Black lesbian people.

     We do research into certain issues and write articles, reviews, and analysis of issues and concerns that can make a difference.  We have an extensive blog (http://thePoliticsofReal.Blogspot.Com) that we invite you to read while we modify it and change it into ten smaller, more manageable blogs with detailed instructions as to how to take better advantage of these blogs.

2016 Annual Report for Brother Tracy Gibson & Associates, INC.

Mission Statement: Who we are

We are a Black education, public relations, advocacy, advertising, marketing, and customer service & philanthropy company dedicated to helping Black youth stabilize, learn traditional Black family values, and become a viable and useful part of the Black community. We also want to and have helped stabilize our entire Black community nationally, in Pennsylvania and in Philadelphia. We do this through education projects, philanthropy and through projects to support Black progressive businesses.

List of Achievements:

1] Started to resolve our problem with 2015 taxes for our 2015 Summer Intern. We will send in a $50.00 deposit to get the tax problem resolved. [We are NOT getting any pressure whatsoever from the Internal Revenue Service, but the Pennsylvania Unemployment office has been writing intermittently.] This ``problem’’ boils down to a retroactive payroll for a $1,060.00 payment to our 2015 Summer intern, Mr. Andre Paulhill, that was never paid taxes on. I am, frankly, ashamed that it has taken so long to resolve, but no legitimate payroll company wants to touch it. I have written and called at least two accountants and still haven’t resolved the situation.  I don’t think it is nearly as major as I think, but it is a pain in the foot. It will get resolved within the next three months.  We have not had much luck in our attempts to get funding for the summer of 2017.

2] Did informal promotions for the Black Bank in Philadelphia, United Bank.  This was a joy to do. I spent time talking to different people and asking if they have a bank account at United Bank. I asked a group of Black activists and even they only raised about five to ten hands in a room of about 30 to 40 Black people.  We have a ways to go on this one, but I actually did ask a United Bank official how many and where they would like to open new branches. They said they wanted three new branches: one in South Philadelphia; One in West Philadelphia (where they closed a branch a few years ago); and finally,  one in Upper Darby, the suburbs.  This is a project I will keep working on throughout 2017. I sent an e-mail promoting United Bank to a prominent pastor here, [ Reverend Doctor Renee McKenzie is the Pastor of Church of the Advocate in Philadelphia -- a black church with a fine reputation of activism.] She responded, so I asked Reverend Renee [revrenee@churchoftheadvocate.org], if I could send United Bank her e-mail, which detailed how the bank can improve on services and generate broader appeal while competing more effectively with major banks in the city. Pastor Renee allowed me to forward the e-mail to United Bank. I did so and was thrilled! Another Assistant Pastor friend was also contacted by me, but he had some concerns about United bank’s  lack of services and rating in the bank regulatory community.  I think, however, his church is considering switching to United Bank.  I have sent many promotions to churches to get them to switch to United Bank. 

3] We were largely unsuccessful at getting major corporate sponsors for some of our corporate ideas. This was rather discouraging, but we have prevailed and kept a stiff upper lip. I will be sending this Annual Report to possible Black corporate Angel investors, and other people who might be interested in investing with us. Never give up hope, even in the face of   defeat.

4] We have written about 30 articles on various subjects including Black Gay Pride and Decency; Keeping Faith; Black Business and how to Preserve it and promote it and why that is important; We promoted the concept of having African Principals and are about to ask for an endorsement of our African Principals with Dr. Molefi Asante Chairperson, Temple University’s African American Studies Department; and Maulana Kaernga who is the founder of Kwanzaa (which, by the Way is celebrating 50 years of existence).  We had a TV producer who wanted to look into producing a show dedicated to the Principals, but since we didn’t have the money to hire a lawyer, I let that go, not wanting to get the African Principals tied up in a legal battle and no program being produced. (See if you can get the name of the production company). The African Principals carry my name (Gibson), but were thought of because of the work of the late Reverend Leon Sullivan and his work on dismantling South Africa’s Apartheid system.

5] I personally was awarded my certificate after passing the Serv.Safe food service test in October, 2016. The class was taken at the People’s Emergency Center and was a delight.  I am now looking for gainful employment for kitchen work or a Chef’s Assistant, which will help me funnel money into my corporate interests.

6] My lover and I have saved over $376.00 towards buying stocks and bonds in June when our special account at United Bank matures. I am personally interested in buying stock in Waste Management; Sonny TV and pictures; and General Electric. This money is untouchable until June of 2017. My lover and I will have to talk over this soon. This will give a boost to our financial status and help the corporation.

7] I have sent out movie ideas in as formal a state as I could for now. I have not received any formal responses at this point, but I think it will be only a matter of time before I further formalize this and get something accepted. I have to read up on this and reapply.

8] I closed down my account with Face Book because I was unhappy with the results I was getting and was hindered by personal family messages when I was more interested in using Face Book for corporate interests. This was risky, but I think it is paying off in getting more acceptance from established sectors of the community of business people in Philadelphia. I recently attended a job fair given by City Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell and just had a ``feeling’’ there was more seriousness and acceptance there.  I have also been writing more public officials and trying not to be so emotional with my e-mails and letters. I have not always succeeded in this regard, but I am not giving up.

9] We have continued to support small Black businesses; and Black individuals who are working to improve the Black community.  We do this through directly supporting more Black and Latin businesses and through giving small donations to Black people who are asked to use the funds at Black stores. We usually give only $7.00 or $7.77 since we have so few funds to work with.

10] We worked at applying for a $3,000.00 loan, but didn’t have the $125.00 application fee. The application languished for months. I finally had to withdraw it and ask for my tax returns back. They couldn’t find them and had to order my 2015 personal tax returns from the Internal Revenue Service. We were rejected for a loan from the same company last year (2015). They are the West Philadelphia Financial Services Institute.  They have a major office near 52nd Street and Giraud Avenue.

11] We have also promoted the concept of Africa Town in a few articles this year and plan to step up this promotion next year [2017]. The concept of African Town is creating a business strip that will serve mostly Black customers and consist of 100 % Black businesses for a strip of at least 20 businesses. Other ethnic groups have such exclusive places to shop for their people and it definitely help stabilize people of color communities and serve as a center focal point of pride and dignity for ethnic groups such as the Chinese (China Town); and the Italian Market (The Italian people).   I will have to ask for an appointment with a City Council person next year to be taken more seriously on this one. I noticed that on the web page for Black Wall Street (every Black person should visit www.BlackWallStreet.Com and discover this for their selves). The Black Wall Street staff has a whole prospectus and well-thought-out plan for creating predominately Black business strips throughout our Nation.  

12] Over the summer of 2016, I met with the Executive Director of BEBASHI [Blacks Educating Blacks About Sexual Health Issues] and talked about reaching the Black men-who-have-sex-with-men populations of Philadelphia through erotic videos that promote safer sex. The idea was not received warmly and the Executive Director said the Board of BEBASHI would not take to such an idea as producing sexually explicit films even though I explained that they would be more like soft pornography that regular pornography. I let him know I would keep in touch and that I was very interested in helping him reach this population which is highly infected with the illness.

13] We stopped having regular board meetings since I could not get our regular board to attend meetings and could not find an adequate meeting space. Again I was discouraged and let down, but only for a short time.  As I get a regular funding stream in 2017, I will reengage our board, find new board members, and open our headquarters in West  Philadelphia.

A review of doctor strange love

``Doctor Strange LOVe’’ -- 1963

A Review by Tracy Charles Gibson

     Find comic French actor Peter Sellers (Who my Mother LOVed in the Pink Panther series of films) – playing three roles including the President of the United States lording over – reluctantly mind you – an awkwardly engaged nuclear war with ``Those damned Russians.’’

      Look for a just-out-of-diapers, baby boy, light-brown-eyed James Earl Jones [pre ``Claudine’’ [ 1974 ]  & pre `` The Great White hope’’  [  1970  ]  ] as the only BLACK actor in the film. Jones and his colleagues are egger Air Force pilots in the only North American reconnaissance plane that is, unfortunately, able to break through turn-back & abort efforts to ``get dem commies’’ with nuclear warheads.

     The question I have as I re-watch this classic low to moderate budget film is have North Americans learned anything yet. There is almost a totality of White males in government leadership positions Sitting around a military encrusted table deciding ``the Fate of the Earth.’’ Women are featured as a military secretary who is the Sweet Pea of a war general [a pre-``Patton’’ [ 1970 ]  George C. Scott ] who reluctantly has to take time away from bathroom duties, sexual intercourse & ``Just Chillin’’ to find out How to stop the nuclear freeze out.

     What sent chills up & down my spine was the sight of some 20 all-White men being left the duty of making world nuclear decisions all on their own. The impact of those weapons being popped effects all people of every nationality, stripe, colour, sex, sexual orientation, sexuality identity, Race, cReed, age, ability and so on.

     ``Doctor Strange LOVe’’ points out the utter ridiculousness of only White males being decisions makers at a place or kitchen table where attitudes and thought patters have to adjust quickly to bring on Paramount results.

     It also shows something I’ve been saying for years, The United Nation’s Security Council – The Soviet Union, The United States & China  --  should NOT – I Really mean NOT --  have permanent seats as Security Council members in the United Nations and as such, have veto power over any & all resolutions any specific nation in the United Nations might want to strike down or promote.  That three-pronged veto power is unspeakably unfair and unbalanced.  All nations will benefit when The United nations adopts a one-Nation-one-vote policy on all actions and resolutions voted on in the international  New York body.

Just skimming the ``Philadelphia Daily News’’ does your intelligence level a vast dis-service. I wonder what the value of my stock portfolio will be after the earth is turned into dust?
