Release Mumia Abu Jamal!!

Dear Vice President Joe Biden: I Am NOT a 100 % Mumia Abu Jamal Supporter, but I DO think His case should have been thrown out of court and or I think He Should have been tried by a jury of His peers over again  a Long, Long time ago.  There were, as far as I know, extenuating circumstances that precluded a fair trial the first time.  But all this is water under the bridge right now. Mr. Jamal is quite sick, from late reports I have gotten from reliable sources. I want Him released from jail due to health reasons. I think this could be parlayed into a great deal of support from the Grass Roots . It would stir up controversy, however, because Mr. Jamal is ill, I think this is significant and that we need to make sure we are seen, this Nation of ours--The United States of Native America-- as a humane country and a country that is empathetic to the needs of those who have suffered. If we are not this you are talkin the same ole ``business as usual'' and that isn't going to float or fly at the major Dem convention here in Philadelphia next year. I don't like to beg People for things, but I am telling you it is a great idea to release Mr. Mumia Abu Jamal RIGHT NOW--Not in two weeks or later. Please don't ask me to write a letter asking that the Cuban Government release into custody Sister Assata Shakur as a swap for this releasing of Mumia. I WILL NOT DO THIS!!! Please don't alter this statement I have made here. An original copy of this statement will be put on my Blog and sent to close friends for verification.

New Policy Needed for Small to Mid-Sized Property Owners in the Philadelphia Area...

There has been a concerted effort to allow more large Real Estate developers gain major access to inner city markets in Philadelphia. While big dollar developers, largely from New York and some other areas have been given a special entry to gain and maintain property in Philadelphia, the City and City Council has seen fit to continue to make it more difficult for the small landlord and even the moderate-sized property owners to own and maintain property ownership. The City & City Council has helped the big property owners at the detriment to the smaller property owners.

Higher taxes, more regulation, outright harassment, problems and difficulties with License and Inspection and difficulties with tenant rights over landlord rights, *[Please see note at the end of this article], these pressures have made it difficult for the smaller property owners and smaller income property owners to keep afloat in a changing economy. I have personally heard friends who have been owners of investment properties for years in Philadelphia say they were getting out of the property ownership business because the City-Hall inspired red-tape and ``the process'' has forced them out of the Philadelphia market and made property ownership difficult at best.

Something MUST be done. There is a real need to streamline City, State and Federal housing policy, include more incentives for People indigenous to Philadelphia, include more Black males, Black women, Latin Men and Latina women in the process leading to real ownership of investment properties and store fronts. Other groups needing assistance in this positive process include: the hard-core unemployed, Black Youths and Latin Youths,  Poor or income-challenged People, the home-challenged {or Homeless}, and the disabled--as well as other People who may have been traditionally left out of the home ownership, store front property ownership and investment dwelling ownership process in Philadelphia--all these groups of People really need help from the political process and the politicians who profess to be helpful. Often, unfortunately, such politicians end up helping the very system that is leaving the groups mentions here way out of the process. This MUST change also.

There needs to be a complete overhaul of How People are buy property, more accessibility to property ownership at a reasonable or nominal cost, a full analysis of the gentrification process & How to slow or stop gentrification so more People native to Philadelphia can own & maintain property, pay proper taxes and make a fair profit to at least maintain ownership and be able to afford repairs on their houses and properties.

The entire government apparatus, concerned private sector, and concerned and engaged non-profit advocacy structure with interests in this issue--all these entities need to be involved in solving this riddle that has so badly impacted on the poor, the Home challenged, the homeless, and the general indigenous Philadelphia public. Things MUST be turned around for them.

This is why I'm supporting Nelson Diaz for Mayor of Philadelphia and also why I'm sending this letter to Nelson Diaz's office and asking for a positive policy response.  I will also send it to Mr. Jim Kenney, who I also feel holds some promise for the City of Philadelphia in regards to fairness and equality in housing and will not represent the same ole business as usual. People and especially the young, are tired of the same ole business as usual. These candidates, Diaz and Kenney,  hold some promise & hope for those who feel they are left out and have been left out of the City's economy..  These Brother & Sisters--the poor, the weak, the frail, the Homeless, the Home-Challenged [Including those who have suffered a foreclosure such as myself, or those who are behind on their rent or are without any housing at all}  -- These Sisters & Brothers  deserve to be more than just a political football and a political issue that gets put on the shelf after November Third's election of this year -- 2015.....   Everybody SHOULD & MUST have at least middle income status. So many People living below the poverty line is totally unacceptable. It is with Great Hope that I write this statement. We really need--as advocates for the income-challenged and the left out and our Black & Latin Youth, -- we really need to make sure that property ownership is highly possible for the new generation of young People, the home-challenged and the disabled.

Editor's Note: As you call me I will make updates to this article. It is NOT perfect,  needs your input.

A Special Message to Caring People of European Descent!! From Brother Tracy Gibson...

Dear People of European Descent...

We need as many of you as possible to write the President of the United States and tell Him you are very Proud of Him for meeting with the President of Cuba, Raul Castro. Write the President at:

The President of the United States
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C. 20050

on log onto www.thewhitehouse.gov and click on ``send an e-mail''

This is opening a new world of diplomacy and peace and fair trade for both of our Nations and extending the possibilities that we will all learn to share the world and the world's resources fairly and equitably. It is time to stop vilifying the socialist countries and get to know them, especially through culture such as artistic events like poetry readings, theatre, street theatre, Puppet Theatre, paintings, dance, film, arts & crafts, & literature. Children especially benefit from such artistic experiences because they realize they are not the only People on the planet and there are other cultures not like themselves. They will learn to accept different People. Children will learn what is important-- type of conflicts that have consistently arisen in certain parts of the world can be worked out and headed off more easily. Conflicts can be changed into Golden opportunities. We ALL must share the world's resources and not worry so much about making a profit, but be concerned with ALL the world's People getting proper nutrition and a safe warm place to live. We MUST take care of the world's elderly and younger People and the rest of us. We MUST also be concerned that all People have a good job if they want to work, and that they are being properly compensated. We must STOP discriminating against People on any type of difference they have. We are all on Space Ship Earth and we need to respect each other and learn to grow and develop as decent and respected People. If you would like to support my company for the work we are doing, you may call me and give a donation. Please read a recent Open Letter I sent to the Russian Federation's United Nations Office [see below] about ending so much concern for exhibiting military might among the socialist countries on May Day [2015]. I want the socialist countries NOT to do this because it, the showing of such military might by them, is used in our political circles to leverage more money for the United States military.  This is NOT a good idea when we should be working on building a Peace Time economy; educating our youth properly and effectively; living Peacefully; eating less fat, sugar, and meat and eating a healthy vegetarian diet--or at least less red meat--and tending to our environment by making sure all the world's drinkable water is clean and that the air is clean as well. We MUST stop polluting the Air and Water!!!! I would LOVe to hear your comments: Please write me at: Brother Tracy Gibson; Post Office Box 42878; Philadelphia, Common's Wealth of Pennsylvania 19101-2878. Or, you can call me directly at 1 (215) 921-2065. I thank you for helping me and so many others save our precious planet by reading the enclosed letter I mentioned. Thankxs and GoD Bless you forever.

An Open Letter to the Russian Federation…!!!

PEOPLE POWER NOT MILITARY MIGHT ON MAY DAY!!

Just moments ago I wrote the Cuban Mission to the United Nations; A friend who represents the African National Congress [South Africa's Governing Body] here in Philadelphia; the United Nations Mission to North Korea; and the Gates Foundation about How it would be such a great thing for Socialist countries like China, Cuba and the Russian Federation to NOT SHOW their military might in the media this May Day, but instead, use the arts like film, theatre, dance, Street Theatre, other Progressive media & Children's Puppet Shows, to present to the world what they do to bolster Peace and work towards ending disease in the world & in their respective countries. A similar letter will be sent to Brazil, Sweden, Namibia and Angola.   The arts have always been a magnificent Way to show growth and development in a country and present peacefully How countries and Peoples can build on more positive aspects of their nations. Culture is very powerful, especially when it is used for Peace and not propaganda. [That goes for Capitalist and Socialist.]. One of the problems we are having in the United States is our young Black People being abused and hurt unjustly by our police. It is going on in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and far too many other areas of our fair nation. We need your solutions to help us stop this useless violence. Let us know what to do. Let us hear from you. Give our leaders and our community People your advice.

Military Might on the part of the Socialist countries has ALWAYS been used to leverage more military spending in the United States of Native America.  The flashy armaments of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua have been used in the past to scare the People of the United States into supporting more and broadened military spending in the Administration, Congress & at the Pentagon. The time has come for this military build up to STOP IT IS COSTING WAY TOO MANY LIVES AND TOO MUCH MONEY!!!!!!!!!

The back and forth bickering that is replacing diplomacy has to change as well. It is time for the real People in these countries like the United States of Native America to have a major say in foreign policy and the keeping of Peace and economic opportunity in all countries. The People want Peace. Even those who fight our wars want Peace and want to work in non-military jobs, but they do want security for our People here in North America, [The United States of Native America]. I know the military workers in The Russian Federation , the military Doctors, the military nurses--I know they also want Peace and an end to war and more Olive Branches instead of war.

Ask a United States veteran who lost a limb in Viet Nam; ask a nurse who lost Her vision in Iraq; ask the general population walking down the street in Saint Louis and they will tell you the same thing--we want Peace and Security and we want jobs not more military spending.   I hope you will do whatever you can to help your own government in the Russian Federation and other Socialist countries like Cuba, to NOT show their military hardware at all this year, but show their progress for People. What has been done to get more food to People; what is being done to get more housing for People; what is being done for more openness and freedom for the average man, the average child & the average woman in the Russian Federation and in Cuba.  Are People outside of the government officials and the most loyal to the ruling party getting the services and housing and food and opportunities they need and deserve. Do People have clean air and clean water. We have problems with these issues right here in the United States of Native America as well. If the United States government and our corporations--especially the large ones--are responsible for your woes; please point this out to People like me who can relay this information to our People.    While we are working on developing a free society, we also have a rich, money-owned media which decides to play stories the way the rich and the Capitalist want to hear them.  Sometimes the truth gets lost. We need all sources to be honest and fair and ask for help when they need it.  We as North Americans, want to understand the Russian Federation's population better and we want more opportunity for as many People as possible.  If there is anything at all my company can do to help build Peace and Understanding please let me know. ``A First Time for Everything''

``A First Time for Everything,’’ looks at the world of Gay male prostitution, but does it without much kissing, nudity and so forth.  It manages to tell a story of lost hopes and dreams when a young Black  man’s restaurant, where He was working as a chef, closes and He is left jobless.  Later the movie tells viewers that loss of economic opportunity is one of the main reasons young men are faced with when they turn to prostitution.

The first time was hard for Ethan.  His ``John’’ was a rather hairy, older European who He really wasn’t interested in going to bed with.  The money was looking good so He did it.  The moral dilemma He faced afterwards apparently doesn’t wash off with soap and water.   The film was just under an hour and I have to admit that it kept my attention even at 5 A.M.   The acting was relatively good for short, lower budget films.  Director-Writer Reginald A. Fleming was and is a very good filmmaker who delves into a ``street survival’’ issue that faces more Black men than many Black wives, Black mothers & Black families want to realize.  It is an issue that is facing the whole Black family.

My own personal testimony: I try never to use prostitutes. I was very active sexually when I lived in New York, but NEVER took money for sex. I was in my early 20’s. Over the last 10 to 13 years I had a friend who started asking for money later in our relationship and I eventually broke off the relationship.  [It was difficult because I still wanted to be with him. I knew it was over when I ended up in a hotel room promising to pay him $2,200.00 if he let me do a certain thing. A voice in my head said it would seal a financial deal between Tyler Perry and Michael Jordan so I went along with it. {I have to deal with some emotional issues that require a therapist and medicine. I am presently being evaluated for continuing my Social Security Disability benefits. } I still owe the brother the $2,200.00 and he isn’t speaking to me, but still goes to church every week and even attends religious study classes at the same place I do. I think he is totally oblivious to his own hypocrisy and somehow accepts this prostitution aspect of his lifestyle. {By the Way I don’t judge Brothers for being gay or homosexual because I am and know it ain’t easy to deal with. It needs to be talked about more in less emotionally heated environments and safe spaces. } It doesn’t make him such a bad person, it makes him one needing other sources of income, education & opportunity…  I made promises to him because I thought I would be able to make more money. It has NOT materialized yet, even though I spend about 10 hours a day working.] Men are known to make that kind of money for sex. Don’t miss this film –``A First Time for Everything’’ on You Tube.

Achievers Don't Play...

Achievers Don’t Play

By Brother Tracy Gibson

When you say someone is just horny and needs a good Fuc*** you make light of a person’s sexual nature and natural state of needing intimacy.  This is part of the Americanization of sex. Short, Sweet, all over the map and usually nothing respected by the respectable or the GoDly.

High achievers don’t have to play at this silly, repugnant game. We choose instead to look in the mirror and LOVe ourselves and say ``I’m deserving of a good relationship and a good man. I am not just a horny toad, but rather, a man in need of the Grace of decency and wholesome LOVe.

Sex is like eating and sleeping. Do without it long enough and your body will rebel as will your mind. I should know having done without it, in any really meaningful Way, for over four years.  I ``see’’ an awful lot of men I think, intellectually I want to go to bed with them. I give a lot of intellectual and sexual power over to them and face street-level, superficial rejection very often—more often than not.  What I have noticed is that the handsome, light-skinned young men I’m attracted to don’t really have the upper hand, I do. They are what is so grotesquely considered ``young, dumb and full of…’’ well you know the rest. I have something real and authentic that has taken me many, many years to develop & cultivate. That is cultivation itself. Unfortunately, finding a young man who realizes his path is loaded with pitfalls unless He has an older Black gentleman to tally along with Him, well many young men just don’t get it. They will, if they don’t have guidance, fill our jails and our unemployment lines and our morgues for yet another generation—unless we as older men do something besides ogle them.  How to have class, get qualified for a job, get and have some decency about one. Interact in polite conversation without raising eyebrows and voices, engendering laughter or causing People to stair or walk briskly in the other direction. These are traits engendered because I was raised properly by my parents, went to good schools, took school seriously [after grade school], and also because I have a Sister and Brother-in Law who have taken it upon themselves to continue to care about me after my parents and many other blood relations have left this place. I have also been in therapy & take medicine for some emotional problems and psychiatric problems centering on adjustment and chemical imbalance.  So if you want to raise yourself above the fray and the common man and the regular everyday dull mediocrity that we all face as North Americans in this great land of ours [which by the Way I call The United States of Native America]  and want instead a life of possible great wealth, but more importantly, a life & a life partner who will teach you How to teach yourself to live with decency, hope, LOVe, respect & GoD, a call to me will lead you in that direction.  I may already have a LOVer, but I am considering starting such a character building and ethics building and progressive politics building organization to build decency in young Black men. If you want to be included in this, please give your parents and or guardians my phone number. I am not only after a ``piece of a..’’ I am after the ethical betterment of my Black community and I am after our Black economic stability and our Black economic fulfillment. I have been working at these issues for decades.  If I just wanted a ``piece of a..’’ like any grown Black man I know where to pay some street walker for it and get it for almost free if Even I so desire.  If you want to keep playing games, please pass me by. If you are a female looking for some decency in your life, I am not the one to help you with that, but I can refer you to two sisters in Philadelphia I know who will help you with that. One is more politically active than the other, but they are both very capable at what they do. There is still a third Sistah from my church who I have been quite Proud of lately who, if you are a Lesbian, may well be able to help you through the services  & auspices of my church—Unity Fellowship Christ Church of Philadelphia. [Service is each Sunday at 2 P.M. at 55 North Broad Street in the Chapel of The Arch Street United Methodist Church. ALL are welcome.]  If you want to call me for such help, my number is 1 (215) 921-2065. If the song ``Here’s my number and a dime, call me any time’’ comes to mind you may well be barking up the wrong tree. I am out to make you into a better, more critically thinking person and a more LOVing and decent person who knows not to spit on the sidewalk near policemen or carry a knife. All the Best, Peace in. By the way the tentative name for the new organization is Black Gents of Philadelphia.

Ready, Camera Action..

Is There a Possibility of a Coming Technologically enforced Religious & Cultural Crusade Against Sexual Freedoms & Homosexuality?

By Anonymous

There has been a growing level of freedoms among the more sexually liberal in our country. More People, straight or Gay and choosing NOT to get married, and more Gay & Lesbian People are pushing for the legalization of marriage at the same time. So-called Gay marriage is being legally challenged, but finding acceptance in many state houses across the United States of Native America.

At the same time, a growing paw is reaching across the world, motivated by some unseen cultural and religious forces such as stemming from  China and the Muslim world, that says no to homosexuality and wants to continue to press for more restrictive behaviors sexually and more ``traditional’’ family units.

These conflicting cultural and religious forces—one wanting People to conform and the other questioning  & bending conformity—seem to be coming to a dimension where more conflicts and legal battles will occur. It seems to me such conflicting ethical values can co-exist without too much problem if People just learned to respect each other’s personal boundaries and not force their values on others who are unwilling to accept them or unable to change with what might seem to others a ``growing liberal social trends.’’

We have been through this before. The 1970’s found the Orange Juice lady squirting her favorite variety of anti-gay rhetoric on everyone who would listen from Phil Donahue to Merv Griffin to the pages of the New York Times and the San Francisco Examiner.   But The Orange Lady was light weight fair compared to what might be in store among the Islamic region’s forces and the more conservative family oriented theories of China and their cultures and religions. They will be much harder to defeat and there won’t be or isn’t a single target, there are several moving targets.

Strangely, somehow, Caucasian males, who might be sexually open and even permissive and / or homosexual, seem very allusive, above the fray and detached from this cultural and religious social conflict  that is gripping Black and Latin communities from Maine to Minnesota and from Wash, D C to Washington State.

I am perplexed what role technological media plays in the fomenting of this cultural and religious conflict, but ipods, computers music, & DVD’s are heavy in the matrix.  I want you to write in your ideas and comments on this subject.  Write to: The Black Millionaire’s Network; Post Office Box 42878; Philadelphia, Common Wealth of Pennsylvania 19101-2878 and give me your ideas on this subject as well as your views and comments.
