Questions for Aretha Franklin

1] What do you think is the most advantageous career path for young aspiring Black male and young Black female singers to take?

2] Would you consider a prestigious school such as Juilliard or The International Music Academy in Africa?

3] What was your most rewarding musical experience over all these many years?

4] Is it true you never get on airplanes?

5] What advice do you have for young Black women who are considering something they know in their hearts they should NOT do such as sex before the age of 18 or before College Education; or starting to smoke; or trying to land a solid relationship with a young Black man by getting pregnant; or drinking alcohol?

6] How have you made such a success of yourself? Is it raw talent, diligence, never giving up or a little of each?

7] What do you think of our First Black President's achievements?

8] Who were some of your role models as far as Black singers--especially females?

9] Do you think Black people take enough control of and responsibility for their own problems such as saving enough money; staying in school; living below their means; support other Black businesses; getting credit ratings up; and buying stocks and investment properties? How can we do more and be motivated to do more of the right things?

10] We always hear about the bad news in the Black community. Would you suggest we start turning off the TV and only listen to good news and music for a change and to make a point to the establishment?
